Water covers approximately two-thirds of the planet’s surface. Most of it is far too salty to use. Less than 3% of the water on Earth is suitable for use and about two-thirds of that is contained in the world’s icecaps and glaciers. Therefore about 1% of all the water on the planet is suitable for consumption and sanitation.
Obviously,the amount of safe water in the world is limited and according to charity: water a billion people (approx. 1 in 8 ) have no access to clean drinking water.

Wow what a great idea. I hope all my fellow bloggers will sign up and take the time to participate on Friday.
The aim of this campaign is to get bloggers around the world to write an article about the fact that almost a billion (yes, a billion) people in the world do not have access to safe, clean drinking water with the aim of sparking global interest and discussion.
This past week has been so busy that I hardly even noticed it go by. Only when my client wished me a nice weekend on Skype earlier did I realise that today is Friday!
Between working on my clients project, studying( yep, my books arrived on Monday) appointments etc this week has literally disappeared. It’s been a busy one.
But I’m not complaining. My client has given me even more work to do and has increased my hourly rate too and that’s fantastic! I’ll be re-writing articles for his blog, and am now a part of his “quality assurance” team. Basically I’m going to be responsible for maintaining the content of the website/blog and helping his customers with registration, queries and subscriptions. How cool is that? Continue reading
